Guestling & Three Oaks Village Work Party

Volunteers are invited to assist in carrying out some routine tasks which will help to enhance our parish.

The initial proposal is perhaps to meet up on a Saturday morning, once a month, for approximately 4 hours, but we are open to suggestions if anyone feels it should be different. We am therefore proposing that the 1st working party gathering will be 9am on Saturday 7th November, time and location of meet, to be confirmed.

We are not expecting anyone to carry out any tasks that they are not comfortable with, and as mentioned earlier, we will only be carrying out routine tasks, so there will not be any heavy lifting, or working in dangerous (height and/or traffic) situations.

We would be grateful, though, if you could bring any tools/equipment, that you may have that may assist in getting the works carried out ( as the idea of the working party is to carry out the jobs that the council hasn’t got the finances to do, and therefore if the Parish council has to purchase/hire equipment, it defeats the object!!)

And until we have a compiled list of jobs that require our attention, I propose that the initial tasks will be cleaning and cutting back any foliage to all road signs to make them clearly visible,, clearing leaves from the drains, to allow the rain-water to be collected, and also general collecting of rubbish

If you are interested in volunteering to join the village work party on this date or any other date please contact David Perrett. Email: david.perrett@guestling.org.uk

Dates and tasks to be tackled will be posted on this page.
