THWART – Three Oaks and Winchelsea Action for Rail Transport
Founded in 2005 by local volunteers THWART successfully campaigned for the re-instatement of rail services at Three Oaks and Winchelsea which currently receive an alternate two hourly service.
THWART continues to campaign for an hourly service and is a member of MLAG Marsh Link Action Group. Volunteers from Three Oaks and Winchelsea look after the stations in partnership with Southern and the East Sussex Community Rail Partnership to improve the station aspect by organising planters, litter bins and notice boards.
