Local Action Plan

The Government wants communities to have more influence over deciding what is best for the community in which they live.

With enthusiasm and determination a community plan can make things happen and there are many benefits which flow from an Action Plan. Perhaps most importantly the chance to develop a vision for the future of the Parish based on everyone’s views, which will influence and inform others and provide evidence of need when applying for funds from statutory and charitable sources.

In 2010 Rother District Council funded the printing of a questionnaire compiled by a steering committee set up by the parish council. The first questionnaire was circulated throughout the parish in February 2010. The whole community was invited to participate and the completed questionnaires were used to form the basis of the Local Action Plan which can be used by County, District and Parish Councils to consider what facilities and improvements need to be provided within the area.

In 2015  a new questionnaire was circulated throughout the parish to gather the views of the residents to assist the steering committee in the production of an updated plan for 2015-2020.

The 2015-2020 Local Action Plan for Guestling and Three Oaks has now been published.

The published Action Plan will be presented to Guestling Parish Council, Rother District Council, East Sussex County Council, and other interested agencies, providing them with valuable local information to aid their decision making, for OUR parish.

A copy of the Action Plan is also available online. To download a copy in .pdf format click here or for a copy in MS .docx format here
